Control of water flow, filtration and oxygenation of intake water is essential for ensuring fish health and welfare.
Our solution enables fish production at a density of at least 60kg/m³, with the ability to adjust both water velocity and volume depending on fish size.

Good biology and fish health require clean surfaces in the tank, without areas water flow slows down and loses its ability to remove sludge and particles. The buildup of biofilms and waste over time compromises the biosecurity.
Hexacage tanks can be easily drained, cleaned and disinfected after each production cycle –directly on site. Daily cleaning is handled by washing robots.
Hexacage can be delivered with flexible intake pipes, allowing you to optimize water temperature or adjust intake depth in the presence of algae, jellyfish, or other conditions that may negatively impact biological performance. All four intake can operate down to a depth of 55 meters.
A new and innovative water filtration system ensures low energy consumption while enabling efficient removal of both salmon lice and larvae.
We believe that every cubic meter of the tank should provide optimal growing conditions for the fish. That's why we supply clean, oxygen-rich water throughtout the entire water column – from the surface down to 20 meters. Just like moderns land-based facilities, the outlet is placed in a central column, which also extracts water from the full water column.
The water flow created by this solution ensures that water entring at 0-5 meters depth is also withdrawn from the same level. The water's roation keeps the bottom clean, as sludge, particles, and any dead fish are drawn into the tank's sludge trap. In this way, the entire tank volume in Hexacage contributes to optimal fish welfare.
